It works, no problem August 27, 2010 YadaKing (El Monte, CA United States) Works as advertised. Not hot either. I just used it to power 2 small lamps, worked wonderfully.
The only negative is the power cord being too short, but that's ok.
love it June 12, 2010 L. zeng 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased it to transform 110 V to 220 V in order to use my 220 V electric fan. It works nicely and very quiet.
I love it.
Works, only one outlet. June 5, 2010 erin herridge (Albuquerque, NM) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Works fine for me after just a brief test, so far. However, I didn't realize from the photo that there is only one 110v (and one 220v) outlet -- I was hoping to be able to plug 2 items into this without a bus strip.
Mostly works as expected June 3, 2010 Simeon Pilgrim (Peoria, IL, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this Voltage Transformer, to allow us to run three New Zealand appliances (240v) here in the US (110v).
For two of the three appliances, this device works perfectly (a sewing machine and electronic keyboard). The third item, GHD hair straighteners kept blowing the fuses. The straighteners are rated 30w, and the transformer is rated 100w, so I was quite disappointed by that.
Talking to some more electrically inclined people at work, they suggested the hair straighteners might be self regulating to an average 30w, thus drawing higher current to begin with. Anyway, I keep the transformer for the first two items, and just purchased some new US plugged hairs straighteners.

Great product - easy to set up and easy to use. Ideal for domestic products that are designed for US or UK/European voltages as it can step the voltage up or down according to your needs.
